Handling Task Assignments in KanBoard (IM)

November 13, 2017 November 7, 2017 By Joe Ross

Internet Marketing Tasks in KanBoard: Procedure

The steps for doing actual IM work can be found here: http://ocgbpm.com/2017/10/24/weekly-seoim-task-client-communication/
The weekly IM update log template can be found here: http://ocgbpm.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/OCG-IM-Update-Log.pages

Keeping KanBoard Updated

It is essential that IM tasks in KanBoard are kept up to date, with details about what was done and why. For our own records, KanBoard task details ensure timely delivery of services (per our contract with the client), as well as the documented history of our work.

The Process:

Step 1: Open KanBoard and check your list of daily tasks. You can do this using filters, your individual dashboard or check your client list for that day. Remember, there may be additional tasks that may not be part of your normal workflow. These often include OCG tasks or those that have created for some special purpose. It is your responsibility to check.

Step 2: Open the most urgent task and check for details. These may be details you added personally in response to a client need or goal. Routine tasks may not require additional details.

Step 3: Tag the tasks as “In Progress” and do the work.

Step 4: Make notes in the tasks description about what you did. Also, attach any relevant files like reports or logs.

Step 5: Tag the task as “Complete” and change the task color to green.

Summary:

Tasks that are not updated on time are considered late or not completed. Not updating a task, or failure to provide details is equivalent to missing a deadline.
