Using Popup Maker
Popup Maker is a pay-for WordPress plugin. As the name suggests, it is used for creating popups (modals), usually containing a form or other CTA.
We do not automatically add Popup Maker to our websites, since it takes considerable planning and additional design to create an effective popup. Also, unused plugins add to server overhead, can create security vulnerabilities and require maintenance.
There is an outdated notion that popups should never be used because “website visitors hate them.” That’s not really true, and used correctly, popups work. Unbounce now calls them ‘overlays’ to avoid the stigma.
Probably the best resource for learning how to use Popup Maker and all of its options in PM’s own documentation. Here it is: http://docs.wppopupmaker.com/
